Every world has a saga. Create yours.

Describe a place in words and watch it become a VR space you can step into.

What is World Builder?

The Spire is our world. The Narrative Engine is the living story tools behind it. World Builder is how you create your own VR environment.

It is a creator’s tool for anyone who has ever read a story and thought, I would have done it differently — or walked through a game world and wished they could add a room, a tavern, a secret, or an entire quest. World Builder turns that impulse into something you can share, explore, and return to.

From words to worlds

Describe a place in words. World Builder turns it into a structured scene, populates it with objects, and builds a 3D space you can walk through in VR.

A dim tavern with booths in the back. A frost-bitten shrine half-buried in pine needles. A ruined gatehouse where something still watches from the dark. You write the scene. The tools give it shape.

The loop is simple on the surface: a description becomes a scene, a scene becomes objects, and objects become a world you can stand inside. The complexity lives under the hood, where you do not have to see it.

What can you build?

Start with a single scene. A tavern. A tomb. A frost-bitten road. Place the people, the mood, and the mystery.

Then string those scenes into a campaign or story arc — a chain of places and events that react to what the player does. Build a one-shot for an evening, or a saga that unfolds across months.

Every scene is a seed. Plant enough of them and you have something that feels alive.

Not only for VR

The same tools that build VR spaces can also power tabletop-style experiences. Imagine feeding a classic module into World Builder and getting a reactive, choose-your-own-adventure version of the story — one that remembers your choices and adjusts around them.

VR is where we are starting, because presence is what we care about most. But a good story engine does not care what screen — or what table — it lives on.

Built for makers, not just players

Some of the most enduring game communities are the ones where players become creators. We want that for Jotunheim Press.

World Builder is designed to recognize the act of creation: share your scenes, inspire other creators, and see your worlds find their own audience. The hall grows because everyone brings something to it.

Yours, not rented

Like the Narrative Engine, World Builder runs on your own machine. Your worlds, your stories, your rules. No cloud gatekeeper deciding what kind of saga you are allowed to tell.

That is not just a privacy stance. It is a creative stance. Your work belongs to you.
